Cristina Medina is part of the Invest in Girls National Expansion team and oversees the West Coast and Midwest regions from her residence in Los Angeles. She hails from the Pacific Northwest in Seattle, where she earned her BA in English Literature at Seattle Pacific University and certification for secondary education.
Cristina served as a K-12 teacher in public and charter schools throughout urban Los Angeles. Her most memorable memory in her teaching career was co-creating an internship program at an all-girls high school for underserved and at-promise youth. As a mother to her children and the children in the community, she is passionate about pursuits in women’s advocacy and bolstering representation for females in the workforce.
In her spare time, Cristina loves to hike with her three boys and Chorkie. She reads and writes poetry in her spare time.
