Laura came to Invest in Girls with an extensive background in early education and organizational leadership. She is driven by purpose filled work, resulting in the positive impact on the lives of others. For over 15 years, Laura has leveraged the passion for education with talent development, operations management, and the strategic leadership of greater than 500 educators across the United States. Within early education, she learned the power of advocacy and the voice of the educator in creating lasting change for the betterment of the whole child.
At the Council for Economic Education, it is her esteemed privilege to guide and scale the work of evolutionary programming, in collaboration with corporate partners and CEE network affiliates. Laura’s story resembles the lives of many girls having limited exposure to financial literacy resources and education. This parallel incites her desire to act on positioning girls to have a head start on reaching financial success.
As a Bronx born native, Laura has an unwavering love for multicultural foods and music. She enjoys culturally relevant art, cooking, reading, and taking in the beauty of the city lights.
